Flipping Your Classroom with BrainPop!

BrainPop offers a free featured movie everyday and often ties in with historical events or famous people's birthdays.  I just watched a movie about Jane Goodall, she was hired in 1957 by Dr. Leakey.  She studied chimpanzees which led to a her lifetime career as she observed chimps for 45 years!  She learned chimps use tools and they wage wars on each other.  Tim and Moby teach interesting facts during the movie, though it is usually short, it is packed full of great information.  View the movie on your PC or download the BrainPop app to your iPad, iPhone, or Droid.
Provide parents information about BrainPop and the BrainPop app.  What a great way to springboard a new discussion by having students watch the featured movie the night before (on YOD - Your Own Device), take the free quiz, and do some additional research.  When they are in the classroom encourage creativity by having them blog, create a digital story, or create a art project about what they learned!

Thanks! BrainPop for making available this great resource.
